Cake has started reviewing the prop applicants & the 1st batch of applicants was approved.  Nobody has been declined yet so if you didn't get an approval email please don't post a comment or send an email asking if you have been declined.  You will get an email when your application has been reviewed, whether you are approved or declined.  Rakeback is paid directly to your Cake account weekly, usually on Monday.

It's going to be interesting to see how everything shakes out the rest of the year.  I think US traffic will increase in the coming months as people get their Pokerstars & FTP refunds & others decide what their plan is.  Idon't think many players will survive playing the merge SNGs for a living.  Their ST structure doesn't allow much edge as it is & the games are ridiculously reg infested.

For those that haven't seen yet, FTP came out w/ an FAQ:
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/us-player-faq

I really hope they start issuing  refunds soon as I had a ton of money on their site as I was playing HU STs up to $1Ks.  I still have plenty of money saved up, although a lot of it is in retirement accounts where I'd be penalized 10% for taking money out early.  I don't expect to have to do that though, but I am putting off some vacations for now.

I haven't quite gotten into my regular playing schedule yet but hopefully I can do that in the next week or 2.  My plan is to play mostly on Cake.

As for 2011, things had been going pretty well.  I started out 16 tabling full tilt 6 man SNGs and did pretty well in January.  I then ran over $41K below EV in Februrary, which was fun.  I got back on track in 6 mans during March but started mixing in some HU STs around the middle of the month.  At the beginning of April I started 4 tabling the HU STs full time & was crushing those.  Then the FBI decided that indicting offshore poker sites was their top priority.  I'm glad my country is a joke.

I decided to add some pictures at the bottom of the blog to make it a little more personal.  Neither my wife or I take many pictures so I don't exactly have the best pictures on my cpu & I just quickly grabbed some pictures off of facebook.  I'll probably replace some or add more periodically.

Gl at the tables,

  2. Thanks,

I think it's pretty dumb of the poker sites to not allow tracking sites like sharkscope. The leaderboards are basically free advertising for them. I've mentioned this to Cake in the past as well. Since they allow people to change their name once a week, it looks like nobody makes any money on their site. In reality, pretty much everyone other than myself (I'm not allowed name changes as part of my deal) is changing their name weekly, so the total yearly profit #s you see are based 1 week of profit. Cake has their reasons for a allowing the name changes though & they never changes it. I still can't say I agree but whatever. Some people like the name changes.

  3. Sharkscopes back working again but the last 2 days it only recorded around 2% games. I agree I think Cakes losing out. Most of the smaller sites ive played where because id seen them in the leader boards.
